ASAL Annual Symposium: The Future of Workers' Rights
The event is hosted by NYU’s Annual Survey of American Law. Founded in 1942, the NYU Annual Survey of American Law, NYU’s second-oldest legal journal, is a quarterly publication dedicated to exploring contemporary developments in all areas of American law, including significant recent court decisions, legislation, and legal movements. For the last fourteen years, the Annual Survey has hosted a symposium addressing such contemporary legal developments and publishing related scholarship in a subsequent issue.
The symposium, titled “The Future of Workers’ Rights” will be a virtual event hosted over Zoom consisting of three panel discussions by legal experts on the legal landscape of a modernizing economy and changing workforce. Each panel will narrow in on a specific topic related to employment and labor law. It is our goal to provide a robust discussion and examination of how the law and practice in this field is progressing due both to modernization and developments hasted by the pandemic.
