Jennifer Arlen '86 presented a paper, “A Process Account of the Endowment Effect: Voluntary Debiasing Through Agents and Markets” (with Stephan Tontrup), at the annual meeting of the American Law and Economics Association (ALEA), which was held in Nashville on May 17 and 18. Two other NYU Law faculty members presented papers at the prestigious ALEA meeting, as well. Ryan Bubb, assistant professor of law, presented “Optimal Agency Bias and Regulatory Review”(with Patrick Warren), and Kevin Davis, vice dean and Beller Family Professor of Business Law, presented a paper he co-authored with Stephen Choi, Murray and Kathleen Bring Professor of Law, titled, “Foreign Affairs and Enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.”
The following week found Arlen in Europe. At ETH Zurich, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, she presented her “Process Account” paper, and gave a lecture on corporate criminal enforcement, which she also delivered at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona on May 23.
